Another Beautiful Day

Today is Thursday, July 23, 2009. Another beautiful day! I didn't think this crate myrtle would bloom, seeing how this is it's first year in the ground, but WOW it is doing well! Going to be full of flowers in the next few days! The golden chain trees that were started from seeds are doing great also.

Needed a break so I thought that I would blog now. Have a few projects almost finished and hope to be able to share tomorrow or Saturday. A couple of new items that I am looking forward to doing more of.

With summer here it is really hard for me to stay indoors! If I am not in doors, I don't get much done in the way of business. We have grilled outside for the last month and love eating outside. We have always eaten dinner together at the table, but outside just seems like we are on vacation or something. Just seems like fun, eat dinner and then into the pool. And you just have to love the clean up. LOL

Going to have to get serious about stocking my site again. Things are selling and with all of the playing I have done, the shelves are looking a little, well not so nice. I have no more of the wooden Altar kits and I think I am down to two tarot boxes. You would think that as fast as the clay Book of Shadows sold, I would have made a few more of them.

Off to finish up the eight projects and then to the pool. Have a happy, healthy, productive day! Remember to get outside and enjoy the weather, it won't last forever. Brightest Blessings!

A Wonderful Weekend

Today is Monday, July 20, 2009. This weekend was the most enjoyable weekend that we have had in a very long time! Why? I dont' know! Asked my husband last night while laying in bed and he agreed. He had no answer as to why. Then I thought about a Blog post by Oshun Spirit Living Light, "Resting in the Riddle of Not Knowing". WOW! I thought, it is OK not to know! I had to print off a copy of this for my husband for him to read tonight when he gets home. Oshun's blog is full of wisdom, one truly worth following!

This is a picture of the staghorn that we had made into several baskets a couple of months ago. I wasn't all to sure of doing this however it was huge and had no where to but something this big. This is the new growth, which tells me it must be a happy camper. I was so excited to see all of the new growth! The others are now showing the new growth as well.

We "played" outside most of the weekend when it wasn't raining. The rain would come and go, it was OK. We did get several things done that we had been wanting to do and made many new plans for next weekend. Needless to say no house work was done so today I need to hit it hard, so that I can get back to the quilts that I have started.

I also cut my hair! It was past my backside, so I started cutting and hubby finished to make it even. It is now about the middle of my back! Love it!

Tomorrow is a New Moon. Make sure to write those wishes and abundance checks. Smuge as well! Let's not get lazy this far into the year!

Color for the week:
Monday Ivory
Tuesday Scarlet NEW MOON (Solar eclipse today as well)
Wednesday Yellow
Thursday Turquoise
Friday Pink
Saturday Blue
Sunday Yellow

Remember to take some "me" time. Have a happy, healthy, productive day! Brightest Blessings!

A Very Enjoyable Day!

Today is Saturday, July 18, 2009. It started out to be a stormy day, but I do think that is all going to change. This is a picture of a spider web that was built in just one night. Just think of all of the work that this little fella did in just one single night. Just WOW!

Yesterday was very enjoyable! Four of the grandkids came over with their dad. We went swimming in the pool and did the burgers and hot dog thing outside. They were happy campers, until they got tired, time to go home.

Finished up another Altar cloth too. Have to get it washed with the other one and then listed. I was pleased with the way that they came out. Then to work more on my sons quilt for his bed. This gets really heavy working it through the machine. However, I will get it finished for him.

My next project is a smaller quilt for my mom. This one will be different from the ones that I have done before. I know exactly how I want it to look, it is for my mom.

Time to get back to cutting out fabric and sewing, then maybe weather permitting to the pool.

Remember to take some "me" time and enjoy the summer before it is gone. Brightest Blessings!

A Few Set Backs

Today is Tuesday, July 14, 2009. It looks like today will be a nice day. The sun is coming up, a very bright orange color. Yesterday started out that way, then came the storms.

I wanted to get an xml file made for my web site yesterday, that was my top priority. I was in the middle of this chore, when I lost internet connection. OK I thought give it a couple of minutes and it will be back up. After about 30 minutes, I started the modem disconnect and the router disconnect and reconnect, nothing.

I call only to find out that it is on their end, something happened to their hardware due to a storm. A storm? It was a beautiful day. No ideas how long it would be down, they are working on it.

So I thought I would go outside and do somethings I had planned on doing after the xml file. Got all of the plants watered, checked the chemicals in the pool. A friend had given me these really cute sun and moon metal cutouts to hang up. I had them hung and found one that I had missed. So I moved one and decided to hang one above the little sign.

Now this is above my head and I should have gotten a ladder, but it was only one. So this is what happens when you think, it is only one.

Dang it man, that hurt and still hurts this morning. Talk about being handicaped trying to type without your left index finger. That one is a major player. So next time I will make sure to get the ladder.

Went to moms last night it was her 75th birthday! Asked what she had done for her day and she said that she had worked all day. I think this is what keeps her going! Happy Birthday Mom!

Think I will work on cutting squares and clipping finished projects today. Don't know that I trust that finger around the sewing machine, at least not today.

Colors for the week:
Monday Silver
Tuesday Red
Wednesday Topaz
Thursday Green
Friday Rose
Saturday Indigo
Sunday Amber

Have a happy, healthy, productive day! Brightest Blessings!

Watermark Your Pictures, Before Someone "Grabs" Them

Today is Tuesday, July 7, 2009. It has been cloudy with rain on and off for the last couple of days here. Laundry day so going to take a chance that it will not rain for a few hours.

I have been working outside, when able and enjoying the pool. It was a wonderful weekend, relaxing and productive at the same time.

For anyone that sells on line and takes their own pictures, I would strongly suggest that you take the extra step to watermark all of your pictures. This picture, the one above was "grabbed" from my Bonanzle booth. Now this is NOT a picture that I am proud of, however it was the best of what I had taken.

I was so ticked off when I seen it. The nerve of someone to just take something that belonged to me without even the courtesy of asking. So I retook the picture and watermarked them. I will continue to watermark all of my pictures a few every day until they are all watermarked with my site address.

There are lots of free programs that you can download and use to watermark your pictures. I found a few of them and the easiest one for me was waterMark V2. This one you can not use a picture to watermark, just text, which works well for me.

Colors for the week:
Monday White
Tuesday Black ~Blessing Moon ~
Wednesday Brown
Thursday Crimson
Friday Purple
Saturday Gray
Sunday Gold

Blessing Moon is today, take time to invest in your visions. Brightest Blessings!

New Listings

Today is Thursday, July 2, 2009. It is a pretty day, sun is shinning and a gentle breeze. A perfect day. Watching the squirrels playing this morning. They are quick little critters.

I was thrilled a couple of nights ago when Sharon of SNL Designs sent me this background to use on my Twitter page. She is such an awesome person and just so talented. A real sweet heart to work with. If you need templates, banners, or avatars stop by and see Sharon!

I did get me listings done yesterday and started working on the Samhain Altar Cloths. I do believe that I will have them finished up today.

This is "The Now" rag quilt tote that I had finished and listed yesterday. I love the colors! The wooden button cover I had bought a while back, it was a pin. I couldn't believe how well it matched the colors on this tote. So I removed the pin back and replaced it with a button cover clip. It is available in my Bonanzle booth.

Trying to get everything finished up today so that I can enjoy a three day weekend with family. Hubby will be off the next three days and I can't seem to get anything done when he is home. So I need to get busy.

Have a happy, healthy, productive day! Brightest Blessings!

Learned Something New

Today is Wednesday, July 1, 2009. It is really foggy out this morning. The birds are singing, but haven't seen to much critter activity. Maybe they are sleeping in this morning.

Yesterday was productive. Got more squares cut for my sons quilt and started more altar cloths for Samhain. These altar cloths I am going to make a little different, or at least that is the plan. I know how I want them to look when finished, it is just getting them there. LOL

Have to get some pictures taken and a couple of listings done today. I really dislike taking pictures of items. They just never seem to turn out right. Monday night's Selling Circus there was a lady by the name of Cindy Shebley of http://wesellerscircle.com This lady gave some great tips for taking pictures and explained so many different things. She was wonderful, so this morning, I am taking my note cards and going to see if I can get these pictures right. If you want to listen to the show you can here.

Have a happy, healthy, productive day! Brightest Blessings!
