Yes! My Jeep Is Good Again

Toady is Monday, November 30, 2009. It was a pretty day, although a little cooler this morning than it was yesterday. But, as the day went on, the weather warmed up.

Well my Jeep is running again! Yes, no more riding with my kids. Oh how this does my heart good. We took it out for a "test" drive yesterday when we were finished and everything was good.

Then off to Home Depot for the building of the shelf/table. Well, it wasn't what I wanted or thought we were going to build, but it doesn't look bad and it will work. He cheated! He bought a prebuilt counter top. So I will paint the braces tonight and hang the shelves and any touch ups that need to be done. No window or floor, ran out of time.

I am getting this cooking for weeks at a time down to a science. It took just under four hours to cook 22 meals. He was more happy about the bread than the meals, go figure. At least I know that he is eating good healthy food and not that burger joint stuff they call food.

Tomorrow I can start getting things moved back in. Have to get the boys living room cleaned out to get to the fireplace, it is supposed to be twenty-eight Friday. We will need to be burning that fire. Just the thought of twenty-eight gives me goose bumps.

So tomorrow will be moving stuff back into my room, get groceries and do the boys laundry. Have to go see my mom too. I haven't been over to her house in about three weeks. I do call her every day and sent her a crock pot of homemade soup last week.

Looks like it is going to be a busy week. Which is just OK by me anything to make the next three weeks go faster. Then next week I need to get into the garden and get it turned, now that is a chore. Not to mention all of the projects that are started again and not finished due to moving everything out of my room. It will all get finished......it always does.

Should Be Running Today

Today is Sunday November 29, 2009. It is another beautiful day. It didn't get as cold as the weatherman had said it was going to get. Happy about that.

Yesterday we finished getting the engine put back together and into the Jeep. Got so close to finishing and then lost daylight. So this morning while I am writing this he is finishing it up. While it was torn down he said that we could replace the clutch plate or wait six months to do it. I knew what his answer was going to be. We do it now and won't have to tear this thing apart again. So we also replaced the clutch plate.

After it is all together again, it will be time to run to the Home Depot and get the material for the shelf/table and get groceries. While he is building the shelf, I will cook 22 days of food for him to take with him. Get another load of his laundry done, his jackets and things like that.

Today is also bake bread day and he wants banana nut, so that is what he will get. He will be leaving tomorrow, this trip he will be gone for 22 days. But he will be home for 11 days, so there is an up side to this.

Have to get out there and help him finish up so we can get in a forward direction with the rest of our chores.

Going To Be A Busy Weekend

Today is Saturday, November 28, 20009. It was another beautiful day. Very cool outside, woke up to the house being 59 degrees. Brrrr

Well after tearing the Jeep down, hubby discovered that it was the crank case that had to be replaced. So yesterday we spent the day tearing the engine down and getting it out of the Jeep. We had to go to Jacksonville for the parts or order them and not enough time to order.

So this morning, as soon as it get light outside, we start putting everything back together and back into the Jeep. Our goal is to get it on the road today for test driving. If all goes well and there is no reason that it won't, Sunday we will get my room finished.

While he is working in there, I will be cooking for him for twenty-two days. Then he will be home for almost two weeks for the holidays. Or at least this is the way I think it is going to work. We laughed last night that everything seems to come at one time.

If I had known that the Jeep was so much more than the oil pump, I do think I would have waited until he was home for the two weeks before starting my room. Although, I do think that maybe we can might be able to do something other than chores while he is here for the holidays.

Wishing Everyone A Happy Thanksgiving

Today is Thursday, November 26, 2009. It is a beautiful day! The sun is shinning and a breeze to go with it.

Hubby made it in early yesterday evening just in time for supper. He ate a good meal, headed for the sofa and well you know the rest of the story. He slept there until about eleven when I woke him up to go to bed. He slept until about ten this morning. I do believe that he was one tired man.

So this morning he is now fixing my Jeep and should be running by the end of the day. Three weeks with out her is a long time. While he is doing this I am doing his dirty laundry that he has had for the last ten days. He said that he didn't see any sense in doing it on Sunday with him coming home on Wednesday. OK I can see the logic there. LOL

I tried to get a better picture of the room, the yellow is pretty close to the color, but now the ceiling looks anything but white. Go figure....

I would like to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving day! We all need to be thankful for everything that we have and a few things that we don't. Even those dirty dishes in the sink. Those dirty dishes mean we had a food to eat. Granny use to tell me when I would complain about having to do laundry, "That dirty laundry means that you have clothes to put on your back". So I wish you all a day filled with laughter and lots of memories to be had!

The Mess Lingers

Today is Tuesday, November 24, 2009. It has been cool and cloudy all day. I do think that it is time to dig out the sweatshirts and jackets. Even the oak tree has decided to start dropping leaves, she has decided to rest. We so enjoyed her all summer and the shade that she provided for us.

The mud took almost two days to dry so I didn't get as far as I wanted to in my room. I did get it painted and trimmed out, now to watch the paint dry. Hubby said that he was going to replace the window that is in there and put hardwood floors in. I like hardwood floors, but if I can find the color that I want, thinking of going with carpet. Then to get the shelf/table built.

Young son said to me tonight while I was washing out the paint tools, "want me to help you move that stuff back in there now that it is painted?" No son, the paint has to dry and then the flooring has to get put down, then move the "stuff" back in there. I am thinking that he wants his living room back. Although he has taken mine over including the television. Which is OK because I don't watch it.

Oh is hubby going to be busy the 3 1/2 days that he is going to be home. Firsts things first and that is the oil pump on my Jeep. Oh, not to have to ride with my children, to be able to go somewhere alone, to be able to get groceries without hearing, "what else do we need" while they are throwing items into the cart. Now don't get me wrong, I love my children, I just don't care to be the passenger in their car.

So tomorrow I will go and check on a window and see about flooring. If everything is here, it makes it go so much faster getting it finished up. Still lots to do, but the worst is over. Now if everything goes well, maybe Monday I will be putting things away, organizing and putting all of the pictures and things on the walls and out of boxes.

I will try to get some pictures tomorrow while it is still light outside so that you can see the real colors. It has been so nice to see the three boys "hanging" out together. Didn't see to much of them today, until supper time. LOL

A Wonderful Surprise and Productive Too

Today is Sunday, November 22, 2009. The weather man was right on today calling thunderstorms. This was a very good thing, this made sure that I had to stay indoors and get the things done that I needed to get done. Lately when I get outdoors, well I seem to loose track of time and nothing really gets done.

I was so delighted to have a surprise last night, #3 son showed up unannounced! Whoot! Yes, I am grinning from ear to ear, maybe a wee little tear of happiness. No one knew he was coming home for a couple of weeks. Happy mama here!

Now today we started my room. I got everything moved out of it and needless to say, the boys living room is full of my stuff. I love it! Ha, ha, I got to mess up your living room. LOL Then everything had to come off of the walls, shelves, curtain rods, pictures and that boarder. That boarder was a real bummer to get off. Took me probably close to an hour to get it off.

Now it was time to spray the wall with the mud. Soooo glad son #3 came home! He can run the hopper, I didn't have to do it. Not only is is messy, it is heavy with all of the mud in it. So now the mud is drying and I can paint tomorrow.

The Acorn Squash yellow will be the wall color and the Yellow Lettuce will be the trim color. I started soaking the beans this morning, so tomorrow I will throw them in the crock pot with the ham and onions for the bean soup. Thinking that this will keep the boys happy until supper time, this way I can paint away until I finish.

Would like to have it dry by Tuesday so that I can build in the shelf/table right on the wall. Under it I will have storage, don't think that I want cabinets, just open so that I can store in clear tote containers. Love those things. Maybe put up a little pastel curtain around it, but then maybe not. Will just have to wait and see.

Over all it was a very productive day, so looking forward to painting tomorrow. I enjoy painting, watching it all come together. But then I like to iron too. LOL A very happy camper today, lots done and son #3 will be here for two weeks.

It's Friday!

Today is Friday, November 20, 2009. The weather has been just fantastic. Warm in the day and cooler in the evenings. The house wide open! No air conditioner or heater running.

The move has been placed on hold. No house yet and the holidays are very fast approaching. Which is OK. There was a new job posting in Jacksonville this week so who knows what will happen. No more worrying about it, time to move forward and get things that need to be done, done and finished. Time to get some yard projects finished that have been placed on hold finished up.

So now I will get to work in my room and get it the way that I want it done. First to clean it all out and then to get the walls done. Spray them with mud and then to paint. OH, fresh paint, I love it. Then to get the tables built in with cabinets under them. I figure within a week it will be finished, or very close to it. All of the pictures that I have framed and painted will finally get their place on the wall instead of a box.

Because We Believe Art is having a super giveaway. You have to go over and check it out. Get yourself entered into this giveaway.

Got lots of "stuff" done today. You know the leave the house in the morning and not get home until late in the day. Then by the time that you get home you are ready to take a nap. Boy, are people cranky in the stores. Maybe I can get groceries on line until after the holidays. LOL

Also I received an e-mail from a few friends, I have no idea if this is just spoof or not, but I am going to share it with you. PLEASE check your register receipt to make sure that it is for the amount that you are charging or using a debit card for. Even if you select NO cash back, the cashier is getting $20 cash back. Then she hands it off in a transaction with a friend. I know that I don't always look, but I looked at every one of them today. Who would have thought?

Clay Day

Today is Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Another beautiful day! The weather has been just great, warm with a breeze, oh, if the summers could have a breeze.

I dug out my clay today and played with it for a couple of hours. I haven't done this since the last Book of Shadows I made. I really enjoy working with it and don't know why I don't do more of it. I also did get some squares cut for a couple of more rag quilt projects that have just been hanging around, not getting done. So maybe tomorrow I will get them finished up.

Young son woke me up at three this morning scared to death. Someone is trying to get in the sliding glass door Mom. What? OK, so I get up go look and see nothing. I can tell he is really shaken up, so I go to sleep on the couch and he takes the love seat.

So this morning while son #5 and I are building a gate, I am telling him about it asking if he heard anything last night. No mom didn't hear anything. No I guess you wouldn't, he snores just as loud as his dad does.

He went around the side of the house to check it out. There were some kind of paw prints on the glass with hair. Whatever it was, had to be a good size, the prints were over half way up the glass. This made young son feel better, but wants to camp out in the living room tonight.

The couch is so not my water bed. I don't know how they sleep on them when they fall asleep at night watching television. My whole body aches the next day. Oh to be young again and be able to sleep on the floor or couch and sleep well.

Hubby still hasn't found a house and we are getting down to the wire. I sent him the e-mail from Home Depot with a list of the up coming classes for the DIY. Maybe that will light a fire. All though, it may just back fire on me and I might just get a little tiny house, just to say he found one.

Pagan and Wiccan Cross Stitch Designs

Today is Monday, November 16, 2009. It has been another gorgeous day! I love this weather! Warm with a gentle breeze. The Okra, tomatoes and green peppers are still growing. I think they like this weather too.

While out in blog land this morning, I did this with my coffee, so much better than any morning paper, at stop at Mrs.B's blog. Yes she is having another giveaway. Now I have to tell you that I don't enter all of the giveaways. Only the ones that I really want to win. The reason for this is that I know that everyone likes different things and I want the ones that really want to win to win.

I know that I get so discouraged trying to find Pagan and Wiccan jewelry or fabric. Oh yes, we can always find Halloween items, but not everyday items. Now I use ink to make a lot of my prints on my fabrics, only because they just aren't out there.

Now this wonderful lady Sherry Senicar is making Pagan and Wiccan cross stitch patterns! Kudos to her! The couple that I have seen are just beautiful. Now I don't do cross stitch, have
tried several times only to have this crossed knotted mess. However, I will get a friend that "LOVES" to cross stitch and pay her to do it. This is assuming that I win.

This is the offering at Mrs. B's blog, so get over there and enter. It is just gorgeous.

This is another one that she has on her site called
"Night Chant"

Kudos to you Sherry! I know that you will have much success with your designs!

An update on the move. Heard from hubby and nothing. He looked at one tonight and said again that it was very small. I can't do small, have to have space. Does anyone know if it snows in SC or not? The kids keep asking me and I really don't know. The house that was for sale is pending. So all we can do with that and it seems everything else at this point is wait and see what happens.

I know, it's not the news I wanted to hear either.....

Waiting.......

Today is Monday, November 16, 2009. The weather has been so nice. No rain and not really cold. No heater or air conditioner to run. House has been open and smells so good!

I have to tell you that I was just a tad upset that hubby spent four hours looking at rentals and found nothing on Saturday. However, I was so Blessed to have e-mail Sharon which lives really close to where we will be moving to get information on where to look and where not to look.

So after receiving her e-mail I hit the internet on Sunday. Hubby called and said that he had been looking and had no luck, but had one to look at after work on Monday that sounded really
promising. I found one that was for sale at a really good price and in a good location. I was so thrilled. So he e-mailed them and will call them at his break. I won't know anything of course until his lunch break.

As soon as I know something I will let all of you know. If we buy, it means that we won't be moving over Thanksgiving or at least I don't think that the banks move that fast, but you never know. We just have to wait and see what happens.

I do think it is all of this unknown that is really getting to me. The kids are fixing to need more school books, do I have them sent here or wait until after the move and have them sent there. Do we plan a Thanksgiving dinner or not. sigh.....

Colors for the week:
Monday Silver
Tuesday White
Wednesday Yellow
Thursday Turquoise
Friday Coral
Saturday Blue
Sunday Yellow

Maybe I Have Been Had.....

Today is Friday, November 13, 2009. Yes, it is Friday the 13th. The sun was shining today with a gentle breeze. I don't think it is getting into the forties like the weatherman has been saying it is going to do. Which is a good thing.

I did get laundry done with the help of the beautiful sunshine! And the dreaded balance the checkbook was also done today. With two of us working out of one checkbook, this can become a real challenge. I usually balance on Fridays, which I did do last week. However, with all of the mess last Sunday the break downs, not many of the transactions where in the register. So after about an hour, I did manage to get it done. Then on to my other favorite chore, grocery shopping.

My Jeep is not running or it will but making a noise that I don't like. So I am at my sons mercy. As most of you know, I really don't care to ride with my kids, it just makes me very nervous. Hubby did the drivers education, you couldn't pay me to teach kids how to drive. Not even with chocolate.

So we go to get groceries and he starts his car and it stalls, OK restarts it almost out of the driveway and it stalls again. OK, this can't be happening.... So I inquire as to how much gas this car is holding. Well I put $7 in last night before I went to sisters house. Now I am doing the math in my head and this is leaving maybe half a gallon of gas in this car and we are going to town?

Son go get the gas can that has five gallons more gas in it than your car does and put it in there. When we got to town I had him to drop me off and told him to fill up the tank. I am just in awe of him and his sister. She is the queen of running on empty. I just can't do it, never in my life have I run out of gas. That "E" stands for exercise in my book, not empty.

His daddy told me I had been had. How? Well, he knows that you get groceries on Friday and he knew that he was going to be taking you to the store. So.... I will bet you that his tank is on empty by next Friday as well. He is getting a full tank of gas out of the deal for one trip to town. Oh no dad, he has running to do for me this week. I need more boxes and then the trips to the Post Office.

Well, maybe just maybe he got me this time.......

Rainy Day....

Today is Thursday, November 12, 2009. It has been another rainy day here. It has to stop tomorrow, I have laundry that needs to be done and I usually do this on Wednesdays. I have put my order in for no rain tomorrow. LOL

Hubby went and looked at a house tonight and has two others to look at tomorrow. So maybe he will find something soon. That would really be nice to know I am not packing only to unpack. The up side would be that a really good spring cleaning is being done.

I would like to share with you a very talented, very generous artist with a heart as big as all outdoors. Sonia of Dark Ravens Nest is offering "IAM" cards that 50% of the proceeds go to a charity. I ordered one and it is beautiful! The pictures just do NOT do it justice. Please make sure that you stop on over to her blog or her ETSY shop and check them out. She is a beautiful person.

Just a reminder to get on over to the Magical Holiday Artists Blog and get entered to win a wonderful giveaway. Ends Wednesday at 9 a.m. eastern time soo, better to get entered now. Good luck to all that enter!

So Excited MHA First Giveaway

Today is Tuesday, November 10, 2009. It was cloudy for most of the day and then the rains came rushing in. We are supposed to have rain again tomorrow. But, that's OK we need it.

Magical Holiday Artists on Etsy is having their very first giveaway and it is a good one. If you haven't yet entered into this wonderful event, jump on over there and do so. Wonderful offerings to be had. Nothing to buy, no shipping to pay, just follow the blog and leave your comment. And if you too have a blog, make mention of this fantastic giveaway there too. Just to easy!

I did get the pool closed down today! Yea! No more working on that for this season. Good thing to with all of the rain and the wind, blowing all of those pine needles. It took about 4 hours to do, but it is done.

Tomorrow will be time to bake more bread and I am going to do coconut cream with flaked coconut. This was a really yummy one too.

Talked with hubby tonight and he said he hasn't found a house yet. I don't think he has even looked. Sooo, I told him that if this doesn't happen in three weeks as planned, I am going to learn to enjoy spending money and start home projects. Home Depot has home improvement classes every weekend. This really sparks my interest and I think this would really be fun to do.

I could have a blast redoing my bedroom and bathroom. Oh, new paint and flooring and tile in the bathroom. Then of course new bedding and curtains and towels. Put in a large window in the bathroom over the garden tub with that stone looking tile leading up to it. Wouldn't that be fun? I enjoy doing these kinds of projects. Just never had the time before to do them. Then I would be so busy that I wouldn't have the time to miss him as much. hehehe

Three Weeks and A New Adventure

Today is Monday, November 9, 2009. It looked like we were going to have some major storms today. So I checked the radar and sure enough it appeared that there was a huge one coming. Rolling dark clouds were here, but nothing more than the clouds. It went north of us.

I received my winnings from Brenda of Wicked Wool Gathering! These packages made my whole day! That little hanging picture is the cutest. And her slippers are wonderful. I love them! So I had to order a pair for my mom and hubby's mom. Then when the guys seen them, well they all wanted a pair too. So Brenda has agreed to make slippers for the guys, minus the pompoms of course. They are so comfy and really warm. I am sure this family will be back for more. Thank you again so much Brenda!

Hubby didn't make it to SC until a little after seven this morning. Needless to say, he didn't make it in to work. However, this is the last trip that he will make by himself. When he comes home in three weeks, we will be moving there. So tomorrow I will close up the pool, no matter what the temperature is, it will be closed down for the season. Oh to think tomorrow will be the last day that I have to vacuum it this year! Doing the happy dance!

I figure this week I will work on sorting things out for here and there and then the following week I will start the packing. We will leave Thanksgiving Day, there shouldn't be any traffic, everyone should be where they need to be by then. We decided this because of the young driver driving through Atlanta. Atlanta is a bear and I really dislike driving through it. Hubby is going to see about another route to go around it. Hubby will drive the U-Haul and tow my Jeep, son in the middle and I will drive the truck with the trailer. Doc and Lady in which ever vehicle they like.
Then off for our new adventure.

Oh What A Day

Today is Sunday, November 8, 2009. It was a chilly day, the sun was shining and a real breeze.

Hubby was here Friday night. He left early from work to get here a little earlier than the eleven or so. Only he took a different route, which he didn't write down the directions for and he, well was lost for a brief time. So needless to say he didn't arrive any earlier.

The boys went to the fair with their friends and dad had to go and "see what was going on" at the fair. I knew he would go and check up on them, he says he wasn't checking on them. OK you went to see your buddies. LOL

We went out for dinner and then home. We curled up on the couch and watched television. I was so proud of him, he did a tune up on the truck. I am a real firm believer in doing them, he does them only when needed.

Sunday we had an early dinner, I made homemade pizza and we all sat down at the table together. This is one of the things that I miss the most about him being gone. We always all sit at he table to have dinner and talk about whatever. It was wonderful.

We talked about the move and I told him that he needed to find a house for us to rent there. You aren't coming home until you do. He tried to tell me that with his schedule that he doesn't have much time to hunt for a house. OK then, but I don't think you are going to have any more time to hunt for one if have to go get groceries and cook every night after work. Young son told me that was harsh, no son there is nothing that I can do from this end, he has to be the one to find one.

It was time for him to leave and he left for his three weeks. He called me from Lake Park which is where I use to work, about 45 minutes from the house. He said that he was broke down.....No way....

So I went to the parts house to pick up the part that he had called in and off to Lake Park to deliver. I was a little over half way there and I was hearing a really weird noise. I couldn't make out what was causing it. Then all of a sudden my oil pressure dropped. Pulled over and shut her down. OK let me call my son in law, we can get the part to him and then I will worry about getting my car home.

Got the part that he thought it was to him only to find out that it wasn't the problem. So back to the parts house the son in law went to get a different part. About and hour and a half later Son in law is back with the other part. Truck in now running again.....this is good news!

Hubby said that he wanted to go get the trailer at the house and then go get the Jeep home. Now with all of this time, he should have been in SC and in bed by now. Instead he is just starting his travel.

Now we have another seven hours to travel. I can't sleep when he is traveling, so this is day is going to get very long another seven hours to go before bedtime.

So now I will be off to see what has been happening here in the blog sphere.

Busy or Not

Today is Thursday, November 5, 2009. It was another gorgeous day. About eighty and a breeze. However tonight is another story it is in the forties.

Have you ever had a to do list that was nothing but finishing up things? It seemed like it went on forever. So this morning got the laundry on the line and then to check on the pool. This was a mistake, I started puttsing in the yard and before I knew it I had spent about two hours out there. The funny thing is, I am not really sure of what I had done in those hours. It was so warm and the breeze was blowing, even the dogs were laying in the middle of the yard in the sun.

Tomorrow hubby will be home, and the kids want to go to the fair. This should be interesting to see what night they want to go. Friday night, dad won't be home in time to go, Saturday night, the only night he will be here, or Sunday and dad will be leaving that afternoon. I am staying out of this one. hehehe

If you aren't following the Magical Holiday Artists blog, then you need to get over there and follow it. We are going to be having a giveaway and will be announcing it soon. So make sure to check it out to see what is going on. You won't want to miss this one or the future ones. This is also where we announce future sales or specials.

Thank You Mother Moon

Today is Tuesday, November 3, 2009. It was a little warmer today than the last couple of days, but no air conditioner. It sure is getting cooler at night, as soon as the sun goes down, grab a jacket.

I did get three weeks of food cooked for hubby who will be here Friday. Was also able to get most of the short bread cookies cooked this evening as well. Claire posted a recipe and I just had to try them. They are very easy and oh yummy. I think the boys were eating them almost as
fast as I was baking them. So I had their approval.

I have to tell you about Mother Moon's Message giveaway. If you haven't been to her blog, you are really missing something special. I have cried with her, laughed with her and been inspired by her. She doesn't know it, but she made me really think about something the other night while reading her blog. No one really likes change, however change can be a good thing.

I have resisted moving and to tell you the truth, I don't really know why. I love my house and my yard, but without my husband it is really not a home. There are no jobs here, the property taxes seem to be doubling every year, there is no shopping here. Walmart moved in and all of the little stores are closed down now. We have to drive a hundred miles just to purchase craft supplies or go shopping for anything.

We raise our kids to be happy, healthy productive adults and they are. They don't need us to live right here. They have their own lives and raising their families keeps them pretty busy. So unless something is planned for the most part, it is very hard to get them all together.

I have decided to let it go....Stop fighting or resisting renting a house in SC and see what new adventures are there for us. We will always have our home here and if we decide that this is no longer our home here, then we can sell it with no regrets. None.....

So thank you Mother Moon, I am looking forward to the change and what it has to bring. I will no longer make excuses as to why we shouldn't or can't.

She is offering this beautiful set of Runes that she has made from offerings of her Willow trees during a storm. A very generous offering, it is just a gorgeous giveaway.

I WON So Excited

Today is Monday, November 2, 2009. It was just a gorgeous Fall day again today. House all opened up and smelling so fresh. The sun was shining and the gentle breeze made for a terrific day. These are the two roses that I do believe will be the last to bloom for this season. However, she may surprise me again.

I did get the pool vacuumed today, there is now a piece of PVC Pipe that has extended the reach of the vacuum to over half the reach of the pool from the top, no more getting into the pool. The temperatures this week are supposed to get down into the 40's so maybe this weekend I can close her up for the winter.

Also got six more loaves of bread made. Made my favorite the butterscotch with heath pieces. Oh it is so yummy. Had to get it into the freezer before it was all gone. hehehe

I was so excited tonight, I got an e-mail from Brenda over at Wicked Wool Gathering and I WON a pair of these awesome handmade slippers. These have come just in time for the falling temperatures. THANK YOU so much Brenda! These are just to cute.

Brenda will be listing her slippers in her Etsy shop soon. They are VERY reasonable !$! They will make terrific Yule gifts. I am thinking that even the guys would like these, well minus the pom poms of course. LOL

Here are a couple of more things that I finished up.

Rag Quilted Pillow with Lavender
Peace Dream Pillow with Lavender

I hope to have all of my new items listed tomorrow, if not Wednesday for sure. Have a full day of cooking tomorrow and have to go shopping, so don't know how much more I will be able to get done.

A Fall Day

Today is Sunday, November 1, 2009. It was a gorgeous Fall day here. The house is open again and no air conditioner, which just thrills me to no end.

These are two of the projects that I have completed. I really like the way the wall hanging turned out. The table runner is nice too. I worked on projects most of the day and enjoyed it.

Talked with hubby for a very long time today and I don't think he is doing to well. He sounded so blah, almost depressed. I know I don't like this situation, but until something opens closer to home, this is the way it has to be. He has heard something was supposed to be happening in Jacksonville, but until he can confirm it, I am not getting my hopes up. He is going to find the source tomorrow and check into it.

So keeping my fingers crossed that there really is something happening in Jacksonville. I have never heard him sound so yucky, that is just not him. Don't get me wrong, he isn't this always happy person, but he isn't a downer either. I had to really work hard and I do mean work hard to make him laugh. Usually he laughs at something that I have done, but not today....

Thinking that he will be home next weekend for a day and a half doesn't really do much for me. I think I have just recovered from the last trip emotionally and to think it is going to start all over again. UGH....

This morning while opening up the house I found that the screen on my bedroom window had been cut and the frame is all tweeked out. So needless to say I was pretty hot about it. It had to have happened the week before hubby was home. The week he was home we were running the air and today was the first time again that I shut it off. Oh how I wish I had caught someone cutting that screen. It's not like I don't have others that have to be replaced due to kids.

Then son #5 blew a radiator hose on his car and so I had to replace it. He had never changed one so it was time that he learned. He now knows how to replace one in the event it happens again, and we all know that it will.

On a brighter note, I have two more pink roses blooming, more tomatoes will be ready real soon and picked another bag of beans today. The boys and their friends were back in the pool today. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. Don't let them come crying to me that they have a cold and don't feel good.

All in all a very good day. Lots of things finished up and a few started. I am truly getting better about starting so many projects and not getting anything finished.
