Roller Coaster Weekend

Today is Monday, October 26, 2009. It was chilly until late afternoon and then it got really warm again. Tried to see the moon with Jupiter tonight, but it is so cloudy that you can barely see the moon.

Hubby came in Friday night about eleven and let at three Sunday. He left with clean clothes and two weeks worth of food. I think the emotional roller coaster is not worth the day and a half. My thoughts at this moment are, just stay there until the job is done and then come home.

I didn't bargain for this and I didn't marry military and just for that reason. My step dad was military and I promised myself that I would never move my kids around like that, never. So I think he is going to have to learn to cook for one and do more than one load of laundry. When he comes home, and returns to his husbandly duties, I will resume my wifely duties.

The water temperature of the pool was at 72 degrees, so it is still to warm to close it up. So this means that I am still blessed with this chore to do everyday.

So today the boys carved their pumpkin. I started to help but was told, that's alright we got it. OK then, I know when to back off, knock your socks off. When they were finished I roasted the seeds and they snacked until they were gone. I guess that they liked them. LOL

So tomorrow I will get back to work on my Yule projects and getting back to business. I can't believe that Samhain is here already and Yule is close behind. Another year has passed.....

Colors for the week:
Monday Ivory
Tuesday Red
Wednesday Brown
Thursday Turquoise
Friday Purple
Saturday Blue
Sunday Orange

I hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend and got to do something that they enjoyed doing.

Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow, but live today. ~Brightest Blessings~

  1. That sucks that you still have to do the pool everyday. But it is awesome that the weather warmed up for you! ;O)

  2. It must be really hard to have a long-distance marriage. I hope this is over for you soon and he gets a job closer to home.

The boys did a great job on the pumpkin!

  4. Dede, that is so hard on emotions. I hope he can work closer to home soon too for all of you. I don't miss pool cleaning, yuck. You spend more time cleaning them than they get used it seems. Can't wait to see what you are making!! Sending you ((HUGS)) for a spirit lifting week.

  5. A close friend of mine had a huge in ground pool, and after the first two years, she said that it was more work than fun, but she never went into details. Now I know what she was going through! Her hubby worked nights and slept all day, so all of the maintenance was left up to her. She would definitely commiserate with what you are going through, in more ways than just the pool!

It has to be SO hard on your emotions, and your time. You are trying to compress necessities and relaxation into a few precious hours. I hope that he find work that he loves, within range that you can again have a daily, normal schedule that you both love!

    Hugs!!!
