It's Friday!

Today is Friday, November 20, 2009. The weather has been just fantastic. Warm in the day and cooler in the evenings. The house wide open! No air conditioner or heater running.

The move has been placed on hold. No house yet and the holidays are very fast approaching. Which is OK. There was a new job posting in Jacksonville this week so who knows what will happen. No more worrying about it, time to move forward and get things that need to be done, done and finished. Time to get some yard projects finished that have been placed on hold finished up.

So now I will get to work in my room and get it the way that I want it done. First to clean it all out and then to get the walls done. Spray them with mud and then to paint. OH, fresh paint, I love it. Then to get the tables built in with cabinets under them. I figure within a week it will be finished, or very close to it. All of the pictures that I have framed and painted will finally get their place on the wall instead of a box.

Because We Believe Art is having a super giveaway. You have to go over and check it out. Get yourself entered into this giveaway.

Got lots of "stuff" done today. You know the leave the house in the morning and not get home until late in the day. Then by the time that you get home you are ready to take a nap. Boy, are people cranky in the stores. Maybe I can get groceries on line until after the holidays. LOL

Also I received an e-mail from a few friends, I have no idea if this is just spoof or not, but I am going to share it with you. PLEASE check your register receipt to make sure that it is for the amount that you are charging or using a debit card for. Even if you select NO cash back, the cashier is getting $20 cash back. Then she hands it off in a transaction with a friend. I know that I don't always look, but I looked at every one of them today. Who would have thought?

Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow, but live today. ~Brightest Blessings~

  2. Very good advice about looking at reciepts. How do people live with themselves acting so dishonest. Glad you have time to work on your painting and projects around the house! Take care now!

  3. I've heard about that scam before, but your reminder jogged me back to pay attention again. I think especially during the holiday season, when we get rushed and stressed, we forget details like receipts, until it is too late.

I'm sorry that your move has been put on hold, but there must be a good reason for it, that may be beyond what you can see right now. And it sounds like you have some good plans for projects already dancing around in your mind! Make sure and take lots of before, during and after photos! Sometimes you don't realize just how much you do, and how different a room looks, until you see a photo or two of how it looked before! That always makes you feel SO much better!

    Hugs!

It sounds like the house hunt is coming along weather it's stay where you are or if the search starts again after the holidays, it gives you a little more time to breath, relax and enjoy the holidays, yipppeeeee!!!

Please share pictures of the before and after the make over, just love a face lift in the house, it always lifts my spirits.

Oh my, I haven't given the cash back idea any though, great tip and heads up, thank you!!

    Enjoy your weekend!!

  5. Thank you for reminding me to take pictures. I usually forget to do so and then it is to late. Like I said in my post I don't know how true this is with the cash back, but once it has happened it is to late. Better safe than sorry. I am not bummed about the move and looking forward to getting started in my room.
