A Overwhelming Week

Today is Friday, March 26, 2010. It was a beautiful day after the rains that came yesterday. I didn't think it was going to stop. Everything is soggy, very soggy. But look at the new rose buds! And to think everybody said she was dead, HA! She was gorgeous last summer and is going to be gorgeous again this season.
With the rain brought the growth of the grass. Got the laundry out on the line, got the kids finished up with their school and then outside I ran. Got the water draining off of the pool cover and thought how bad that grass needed to be cut. So off to get the new mower to see how that baby was going to work. OH she is wonderful, one pull and away we went to cut that soggy mess. It didn't take as long as I thought it would being so wet and wow does it smell good.

I have to say that this last week, I have felt extremely overwhelmed. This is not a feeling that I have, ever. This was something very new to me. I think because of the work that I have done most of my life, I just never felt overwhelmed, just pushed forward. That was that.

However, this has not been the case. Tomorrow I start redoing things in the motor home. I need to get somethings at Lowe's and need to bribe the kid across the street. He has a truck and with George gone, this really sucks. Usually when I needed to go to Lowe's, George would just take the Jeep and leave me the truck. Not now...... I have to really hit it hard to have everything ready to go on the 16th. Maybe this is where this overwhelming feeling is coming from. If it isn't ready by then it will be another week down the road. I know that everything is resting on me to get it done.

On a brighter note, I did get to order some dishes and glasses. I want it set up so that we don't have to "pack" and "unpack" every time we come home or leave. These are the dishes. I really wanted the red ones, but they were out of stock. So we will have the black ones.

Now to get the sheets, towels and pillows. I am sure there are other things that I will think of, like right now I just thought about the first aid kit. And of course the things on the walls that make it home. Have to find a few of the little basket like organizers that go on the inside of your cupboards too. So much to do, however it is dark and after ten, so I am now going to go see how the rest of my blogger buddies have been and what they are up to.

Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow, but live today. ~Brightest Blessings~

  1. Okay, just take a deep breath, all will be well...LOL, but I do know the feeling! Just think of the grand adventure you about to take! Good Times!

  2. Love the dishes. Red would be good too - but I like the black! It is hectic, but fun too, to pack a new "home." It will all get done - just don't burn yourself out!

Lucky girl with the new mower too!

Love those Spring rains - everything is so fresh!

  3. Love the dishes! If it wasn't for everything you have going on I would have wondered if your overwhelm has been happening since we became friends LOL
    I usually feel that way!
HUGS sweetie, brethe you will have everything done in time

  4. I LOVE the dishes, Dede! Of COURSE they have to be black. When I saw them, the first thing I thought of was how beautiful they will be with a little vase of bittersweet in the middle of your camping table, or a pot of mums, or in the Fall, that pumpkin! While your mind is filled to the max, your subconscious is thinking "Halloween!" lol And for those none orangy moments, those dishes will go wonderfully, and really set off any other color of flower that you are going to find to brighten up your days on the road.
Knowing you, you'll get it all done in fine fashion! You'll carry a little spiral notebook with you and take notes as the come to you, and then take great delight and with a feeling of satisfaction be crossing things off.
And don't berate yourself if you don't get things exactly "right" right away. This is something that you tweak along the way, finding out what truly works, and what doesn't.
Try and relax and enjoy the anticipation of your new adventure!
    Sending calming hugs!!

  5. Oh Dede, I wish I lived near so I could try and help you! your dishes are lovely and i am so glad your rose buds are pushing through. I think this represents you at this time, a rose bud pushing through to greatness and full bloom! Everything will work out just fine! Much love to you Dede! ((hugs))

  6. Dede you sound so stressed. I wish I was close by I would love to be there to help in any I could.
