Friday Moving Day

Today is Thursday, April 29, 2010. It was a very pretty day yesterday, but still very cool. I think SC has some kind of shield up that allows you to see the sun, just not the warmth of it.

Yesterday was nonproductive. The boys were both "needing" help with school work. It seems like this was all that was done, then on to dinner and cleaning up.

Last night a migraine set in just before bed, thought I could just sleep it off. Nope, so at 4:30 broke down and took some meds, by 6:00 I am feeling better. So when the sun shows I will get the laundry done before the boys wake up and clean as far as I can until they do.

We have decided to move closer into where George is working. Right now we are and hour and a half from his job. Now it didn't start out that way, something happened and they have shut down the interstate, so he has to take the long way around. I do think that getting closer into a town will help the boys. There is nothing here at all, nothing like the brochure pictured or said. Live and learn. So tonight on the way home from work George is checking on one we found last night on the Internet, keeping fingers crossed. Only thirty minutes from his work. Not bad considering he had a twenty minute drive in Lake City.

This weekend will be busy "moving" after work on Friday, George working on Saturday and if all goes well, flea market on Sunday. Love them flea markets and son #5 does too. Young son has found a skate park to go to. Which brings me to last night, he wants to go alone, "Just drop me off." I so struggle with leaving my kids anywhere alone. I know he is fourteen, but I am still a mom. He is in a strange place, doesn't know anyone and he wants to just be dropped off? His reasoning is that he has his phone. And this means what to me?

It is starting to get light out so off to the laundry mat to watch the dryer destroy my clothes while I feed it quarters to do so.

Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow, but live today. ~Brightest Blessings~

  3. Best wishes on you new move. And, believe me, the warmth of the sun appears to be blocked up here in the city, too. It shines so brightly, but it is so, so cool. Take care of yourself. Those migraines really know how to kick butt.

I agree closer to town is a good thing!!I am having panic attacks here though..leaving him in a park alone....without you...even with a phone...scares me to death..even at 14! But that is me and you know your boy!! And..I tend to be overprotective anyway. Hugs on this one hon!!

  6. I feel for anyone that gets migraines!! My sister worked with a guy that use to get them so bad that he would bleed from his ears and get sick to his stomach, just awful, I can't even imagine that kind of extreme pain. I am so glad you are feeling better!! Poor George 3 hours on the road, yuck, the move sounds like a great idea!! Bless you girl having to make that choice with your son and the skate park, I am so like you, an unknown area but being fourteen and not wanting to be treated like a child, I'm so glad I'm past those year's sorry, I know thats not helping you a bit. Why isn't there books on how to raise children oh yeah thats right there is, they were all written by people who never had any, lol.

    Good luck with the move!!
    ((Big Hugs))
