Got Some Much Needed Help

Today is Sunday, April 4, 2010. It has been gorgeous and hot all week! No rain and I am so thankful for that. It is supposed to be another 87 degree day tomorrow. It gets cooler in the evenings in the fifties which is great.

George showed up at the gates about 6:30 Friday evening. It was a wonderful surprise! I can't seem to get through to him that if he doesn't file a flight plan and something happens, who is going to know where to start looking for him and at what point to I start worrying when I don't hear from him.

The things that I was so stressed over are gone. He found the answers to the issues and everything is back on track again. My nerves were shot, he came home and everything just smooths out. He leaves and within two hours the electric is screwing with me again. I don't like messing with electric, at least with gas I can smell it. There is no seeing that electric coming through those wires and they aren't those little wires either.

When he calls me, I explain to him what is or isn't going on. He says here is what you need to do baby. NOT on your life! You call your buddy down the street that likes to play with this stuff for a living and tell him what you want done.

I went out into the shed last week and oh my word! The squirrels have take it over. George isn't going to be happy when he realizes that they have destroyed all of the insulation in one wall. He says he knows that they are in there, but I don't think he noticed the wall.

I still have work to do before we can start loading up the RV but I do think we are going to be able to leave on the 19th as planned. The boys took the cover off of the pool yesterday. Still a little cold for me to get in, but they and their friends had a blast today in it.

So we have 12 more days until he returns again and this trip back we will be going as a family. I hope that everyone have a wonderful Easter!

Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow, but live today. ~Brightest Blessings~

  1. i hope you had a wonderful Easter too Dede! Them Squirrels! Big Fella goes cold when he sees one, a group of rowdy ones actually got through his window one time and practically ransacked the place while he was away one time! He was going through a phase of loving peanuts and they knew where he kept them!

  3. Hi Dede! There is no way I will even pretend to deal with electrical issues. I will use candles instead. lol!! I'm so glad you'll be going with the whole family on an adventure. It's something you will always remember, and your boys, too. My daughter (who is almost 20) just said to me the other day, "Mom, I'm read for a road trip. Let's go somewhere." How nice is that? Pretty nice, I think. Have a great week!! xoxo Pam

  5. Ohhhh Dede what a wonderful Easter surprise to have George come home but you are right shame on him for not telling you. I love surprises but I'm a bit of a worry wart, I freak out when I don't know someone is on the road, what if, like you said. I get so angry with my sister for doing that. I know I'm not her keeper but she just doesn't get that I like to know when to expect her back so I know everything went okay, I'm 8 years older than her, can you tell, lol. Electrical doesn't really scare me, I respect it but I'm not afraid of it, my Dad was an Electrician although I preferred he play with it. Can't wait to see pictures of the RV when your finished, its going to be awesome for sure!!

  6. I am also quite petrified of electricity. It was only a few months ago that, at age 39, I finally dared to use jumper cables to jump start my car! I am just so paranoid with stuff like that, so I'm with you!! An RV adventure sounds SO fun! It is on my list of future dreams for our family :)

And I hear you on the electric work. I know where the breaker boxes are so I can shut it off....but I am not messing with it!!

Hope things go well at your end of the world!! Take care!

    Cheers!
