A Productive Weekend

Today is Tuesday, June 22, 2010. The weather here has been about the same. Hot, humid and thunderstorms. Let's not forget the bugs that come with the rain. Suppose to have thunderstorms again all week this week.

Much to my surprise and excitement, the rooster has started trying to crow. He sounds like a teenager. The roosters behind us crow and Friday morning he started trying to crow back to them. He is going to be a talker. They are three months old now and really growing.

Sunday night, George asked if I had shut the air conditioner off. Now why would I do that with all of the humidity? No, I didn't shut the a/c off. I heard it kick on, so I knew it was running. It wasn't blowing cold air, the points had went out. So George and son #5 worked on it until almost two, needless to say, George didn't go to work Monday.

He took down most of the oak tree that had been struck with lightening. Good thing he did, it was rotten. If a storm had taken it down, it would have came through the house. While he was watching television last night, "his" tv shut off. Everybody knows that panic sets in when a mans television is on the outs. So he starts with the remote trying to turn it back on. LOL It turns out that a switch was bad, right off to Lowe's to get a replacement, fixed and he was all better.

Was able to get a few bracelets made and gourds washed. So looking forward to working with them, the possibilities are endless. Got an e-mail from New Age Books and they now have these way cool tank tops! Sign up for their e-mails, they don't spam your mailbox. But, they will let you know when they have new items and book sales. Copied this from my e-mail:
Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, productive day!

Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow, but live today. ~Brightest Blessings~

  1. Hey Dede
It sounds like George didn't have a good weekend. Doesn't it seem like when one thing breaks something else will also.
Your rooster will be in full voice pretty soon it sounds like. Can't wait to see your new items.
I hope you have a great week. Talk soon!!

  3. Love the bracelet! Cool tanks. I was on a walk the other morning early and was going down an alley and thought I heard a rooster. I came up on a nice urban backyard complete with raised beds and a chicken tractor. That sweet rooster sounded about like you describe yours. hehe

  5. Another busy weekend for you - but at least it wasn't all pool-related! It sounds like hubby put his time in around the house. Of course, it's the things that keep them comfy and happy that they need to deal with first!

So cute about the rooster! He'll be a pro in no time.

  6. George was a busy man fixing things this weekend...lol! I love thunderstorms but hitting that close to home might be a little too scary for me. Your rooster sounds adorable and I love how you called him a teenager. How cute! Oh and your bracelet is just adorable!! Love the colors!

Hope you're having a wonderful week so far!

  7. LOL Dede a crow going through puberty. Love the braclet and those tank tops!! Glad to hear you got your AC working, I really need to get mine in the window so I can get some sleep, ackkkkkk. Can you send me a little of that productivty, I can't function in this heat. I have to laugh about weather predictions though. Yesturday, they kept saying rain / thunderstorms for our area, started out at 80% chance and every hour it was less to they got down to 30%, then it rained cats and dogs, lol. So apparently I've been interpeting their chance of percipation the wrong direction, I've got it now though, the lower the number the higher the chance, hahahaha.

    Enjoy your day Dede!!
