The Rooster Is Crowing

Today is Wednesday, June 30, 2010. The weather has been much of the same, thunderstorms, hot and very humid. I have never been one to wish summer away, but this year, well it surly could change my mind.

I have started my wool challenge piece, excited I am. Not going to tell you what it is going to be, but I will post pictures tomorrow. It will be finished today. This has been so much fun and depending on how this turns out, it just might be my new addiction. Thank you Brenda!

The rooster is crowing! He started on Saturday morning, and he sounds like a full grown rooster, not that teenager any longer. I was so excited when I heard him the first time. With the weather cloudy and raining, the girls haven't had the sun to sun themselves in. So no pictures of that yet, but I will get some.

Not sure if it's age, the hot humid weather or the uncertainty of things, but I sure have felt out of sorts lately. Not sure what is going on, but so looking forward to things getting back to some what normal. Or at least what is normal for me.

Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow, but live today. ~Brightest Blessings~

  1. I love when the neighbor rooster crows in the morning... brings back memories of my grandmas house.... Ditto on the uneasy feeling... I have been feeling it also... heres hoping you are back to ease soon... can't wait to see what you are making with the wool, yet have to say... speaking of wool when it is so hot outside... whew...

  2. Our neighbors have all kinds of chickens but I don't see any roosters over there. That's cool that you get to enjoy that sound of the morning! Can't wait to see what your going to make with the wool! I'm just finishing up mine. :)

  3. That is just too cute...your rooster is now well on his way to being a full-fledged rooster. My grandma had a rooster. Used to love that sound, but was also very, very afraid of him and the chickens. I've been pretty much out of sorts as well.
