Not For Sale

Today is Thursday, July 15, 2010. We have had storms again most of the week and they are suppose to be here through Saturday. Sure makes it hard to get the laundry done.

I have all but finished up two of the projects that I had started. The tote needs to be clipped and washed, the wall hanging is finished. With any kind of luck the weather will change for some pictures to be taken. Then to list them. The third project is going to take time, have about half of the fabric cut out, today hope to finish cutting fabric so that I can start sewing. Maybe by the weekend it will be done.

George knows how much I loved working with the wool from Brenda's wool challenge. He came home the other day and announced that he was going to buy me a sheep, only they weren't for sale. He goes by these sheep on his way to work, he thought it would be cool to buy me one. I am so thankful they weren't for sale. If we had more land it would be different, some day.

I feel like such a jerk. I spaced out mama's birthday Tuesday! So I am thinking that this weekend I will go get her one of her favorite pizzas and spend the day with her. I still can't believe I did that! Have to finish her angel light switch covers and take them to, as a peace offering.

I so want to get outside today. The rain wouldn't be so bad if the temperatures would drop a few degrees, but it hasn't, just hot and humid.

Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow, but live today. ~Brightest Blessings~

  1. Hi Dede! Oh, I know that spaced out feeling (when you forget someone's birthday). I'm sure your mom will forgive you once she sees the pizza and the switch covers. We're all too busy, aren't we? I always tell my hub I need a robot to follow me around and remind me of things! lol! I love the new pieces, they are fabulous! xo Pam

PS Does Brenda sell her wool? I would love some to play with.

Lisa, I was scared to death that he had one in the back of the truck when he started telling me about them. Sure hope that pizza cures this.

  4. I've spaced out at birthday time, too. Last year it was my sons. I felt so badly about it, but he was very understanding. We've not had many storms here, but the humidity is so high, clothes just never seem to dry.

  10. Ohhhh Dede, I am always spaced out when it comes to birthdays!! Everyone gets a belated birthday wish from me, I don't know what it is, I remember right up to the day and then the day goes by and I'm like crap I did it again, sigh. Thank goodness for mamas they always understand and love us anyway.

LOL Dede, oh how I would have loved to seen your face if George had actually brought one home, hahahahahaha. That is awesome that he knew you loved it so much that he took the effort to try to get you one though, what a sweetheart he is! Still can't stop laughing though.

Love your new wall hanging, you already know how much I love them!!! I love your new tote too and Sarah is right what a perfect tote for crocheting and knitting projects!!

Hope your having a wonderful weekend!!
PS, I'm up to my eyeballs in wool, lol. I've been a dyeing fool. Hubby has been on vacation this week and he goes back to work tomorrow, so it's finally back to work for me!!
