It's Going to Survive

Today is Saturday, March 13, 2010. It is a gorgeous day after a week long of clouds and rain. The stag horn has new growth, I thought that the freeze had did her in. She looks like she is going to make it!

Got most of the laundry done, maybe one load to do tomorrow. It is supposed to be really nice for the next week. Talk about a breeze, it isn't taking any time at all for the clothes to dry. Had the house opened up until it was just blowing to hard and things were sailing around the house.

One week down and two more to go before George comes home. I can't believe that it has only been a week, sure feels like longer. I guess that when he is here there are things that he takes care of and when he is gone I have to take care of. It's really weird how we both handle things. What bothers me or stresses me out, he is like whatever, he handles it and we move on. The things that stress him out, I handle like no big deal and we move on. This has to be what makes our marriage work so well.

It seemed like a long week with school this week. I did see the light bulb light up with young son and that always makes me thrilled. He really dislikes math, so when he got it, he was so tickled and then those words, "I wish dad was here to show him.". So I scanned his work and e-mailed it to him. I was informed it wasn't the same mom. I tried.....

Going to get groceries tonight after dinner and finish dusting the house. Then I can do nothing tomorrow. Really looking forward to doing nothing. Although, I do need to clean out our closet, maybe I will do that tomorrow. Maybe if that's all that I have to do it won't seem so bad.

Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow, but live today. ~Brightest Blessings~

  1. Ah, sounds like you have had quite the day. We've got that rainy, windy weather now, but it should go up to the 60's and be sunny by the end of the week. Hopefully, it will stay that way. Glad that your stag horn survived. I know how lonely you must be, but I commend you how you deal with it. Soon he will be back.

  3. Hello Dede, sounds like you've been busy as usual, send a little of that energy my way okay. Oooooo your poor Stag Horn, does look like he wasn't fairing well there for awhile so glad he bounced back. Ughhh, this is one of the long spurts isn't it, that George will be away, so sorry to hear that. I hate hearing about couples having to go through this, I realize that we all have to do what we have to do these days for our jobs but it is so hard.

I have a story to brighten your day. My grand kids love Herman and Rosie too, lol. My grandson said we have to have it every week so make sure you tell who ever sent it to you to keep sending more so we can keep having it. He's 6 and doesn't understand that we get more from every batch we make. So yep, he thinks your sending us batter every time we bake it, lol. I just love the things kids say!!!
