The Girls are Sun Bathing

Today is Wednesday, July 7, 2010. The sun made an appearance yesterday before the storms rolled in once again. Today is suppose to be 96 and cloudy, cloudy is okay, just no more rain. The yard looks like a jungle, so maybe if it dries out, I can get it cut in the next couple of days.

So without any sun, I haven't been able to get a picture of the girls sunning. Well yesterday when the sun did come out, they did sun. Not the best picture, but this is the best I was going to get. After I got them cleaned and fed they ate, groomed themselves and then found a patch of sun. I tried to get better pictures around the other side of the coup, but they weren't having it. Maybe this week they will decide to sun in the yard again, if so I will get better pictures.

Have to get the books done for quarterly taxes today. I am not a paper pusher and really dislike doing this chore. But, like a lot of things it has to be done. So that is on the list of to do's first. Hopefully I will be able to finish up at least two of the projects that I have almost done. This depends on the power. I got so lucky last night, finished dinner just before the power went out. There would have been some real unhappy campers if the power had went out first. LOL Those guys have to eat a real meal and a cold sandwich is not a meal.

Time to take care of the critters. The birds are singing and the rooster has been crowing the last 15 or 20 minutes. He sounds so grown up and he is only 15 weeks old. Just think in another eight weeks, we may have eggs. They will come off of their starter food this weekend, and go on their big chicken food.

Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow, but live today. ~Brightest Blessings~
