It's Monday, Not Sunday

Today is Monday, September 6, 2010. It was a pretty day today! Unlike what it has been the last few days, the air has been so heavy the clouds aren't even moving. The storms are supposed to return on Wednesday.

I went through the day thinking it was Sunday. George worked Saturday and then had off Sunday and Monday, instead of Saturday and Sunday. So now the rest of my week will be off by one day.

I did finally get the Sisterhood tote finished and listed along with a Halloween eyeglass holder. So it was a productive day. To finish them both, take pictures and list them, well I was on a roll.

Tonight we had breakfast for dinner using all fresh eggs! We haven't had to buy eggs in over two weeks now. The girls have been giving an average of 4 eggs a day. The little white one still hasn't started laying yet, she was the smallest of them, I figure a few more weeks. It amazes me the amount of double yokes we have had.

Dug out recipes for candy that I need to start thinking about making. I enjoy making candy and baking. Also found a new recipe for a sourdough starter that I started yesterday, will let you know how it turns out. Would be wonderful to make bread, rolls and cinnamon rolls and never have to buy them again. The house smells so good when fresh bread is baking. This years gifts will all be handmade and baked. Everyone is fine with that, they all love the candy. Going to start buying the things I need for the candy before the price goes up, you know the closer it gets to the holidays the higher the price. If I buy a couple of things each week, there won't be a jump in my food budget.

Son #3 is back in town, still no job. Figure he will be here for dinner every night. I am so trying to get him back in school. He isn't doing anything else. College for sure isn't going to hurt him, it can only help him when this economy gets better. We can only point them in the right direction and pray.

So this weekend has been a good one, got things finished and spent time with family. And now it will be a short week. LOL

Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow, but live today.~Brightest Blessings~

  1. Gosh, I am all thrown off on the days with the holiday and my vacation. Heck, both me and hubby forgot about the finale of one of our favorite shows. The weather here was wonderful today. I got out and did some shopping, and because of a street fair, had so walk a much longer distance than planned. Ended up buying some crystals and eating one of those delicious hot sausages; I loved it...if only my knees hadn't started aching. LOL!!!

  9. Thank you for telling me, what you meant by "players"... [Which slow down a blog loading] Actually, I always keep my sound down, when going around to blogs, because I often don't care for the selection of music.

    Guess I'm picky. -grin-

And thus, I let anyone click on the music videos I have on the bottom of my blog... IF they so choose. If they choose not to, that's fine too.
