It's Already December

Today is Tuesday, December 6, 2011. The weather has been fantastic! Fall is for sure here and loving that. This past weekend was chilly, not cool but chilly. The critters seem to really love the cooler weather, they are all out and just running around crazy.

George and I went to the flea market this past Saturday, something we haven't done in years. I wanted to do a yard sale here at the house, but he talked me into going to the flea market. It wasn't a money maker, but it was more than we left with and less stuff! We have just been accumulating "stuff" for so long again. It is so time to unload this "stuff".

I went on a cleaning spree the last couple of weeks. It something hasn't been used in three or four months, it went into a get rid of box. Took all of the curtains down washed and ironed them. The only thing I need to finish is to clean the walls and ceilings. But I am going to have to wait until after the new year to finish all of that up. The house looks and feels so good! New recharged, refreshed energy for the coming new year.

I have also been baking goodies for the season. Have lots more to do but did get started a couple of nights ago. I do think they are eating faster than I am going to be able to make it. The peanut brittle is just about gone. The cookies are gone and the bread is less than half. Hoping that they got their fill so that when I start making it for gifts, it doesn't disappear.

Have started a few lap quilts for gifts and journals too. I think sometimes it is like one of my college teacher told me, "You work best under pressure." that I seem to start so much and wind up pulling all nighters to get things finished up. But that's just me and no shame in it I guess. I will get everything finished and delivered on time.

I have felt pretty good this last month. My hair is growing back where here nuked me so that is a plus. It looked like when the kids were shaving the back of their heads half way up. Now it is about an inch long I guess. George said he would take a picture, but hasn't yet so I will try to con young son into doing it. He always looks at me like I have two heads when I ask him to do something like that. Like when I tried to get him to make a video of the girls sunning themselves and bathing. The movement in my right arm is back for the most part, not going to cry over what I have been blessed to get back. I can brush my own hair and put it in a pony tail too. I can open the door and start the car with my right hand now. Still trying to figure out this humidifier thing. To much time makes mucus, not enough time causes big sticky plugs. I guess in time I will figure it out. Another doctors appointment on the fifth, with the good doctor. She is the one that seems to get things done.

The new journals are coming along pretty good. Excited about getting them done and listed. Well maybe not excited about the listing part, that means taking pictures and we all know how well I do with that. Can you believe that Yule is only three weeks away? This just blows my mind. This has been one of the fastest years ever of my life. It will be a year next month that this roller coaster ride with cancer started, a very long and yet so fast year.

I HAVE to get going and get back at it or I am not going to get things finished. I know I have less than three weeks to finish up and get things delivered. Wishing everyone a day filled with fun and laughter!

Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow, but live today. ~Brightest Blessing~

  2. You have been so busy. I just don't know how you do it all. Glad to see you are feeling better. I know what it means to accumulate 'stuff'. I just never knew how much we had until I started packing to move.
