Today is Monday, March 19, 2012. Another gorgeous day ahead of us. The weather has been just wonderful. Warm in the afternoon and cooler in the evenings. Not to mention a nice gentle breeze to go with the warm afternoons. The kind of weather that makes you want to get outside and do something no matter how small it might be.I am thrilled to show off my hair growth of about 2 to 3 inches, it is growing back! I was told after the fact, that with radiation you have a 50/50 chance it will grow back unlike chemo it will grow back. It is growing back! I so looked like when the kids would shave half of their heads in the back.
And the arm is filling in nicely too! It still looks funny, but it isn't skinny like it use to be and it actually has a few hairs growing out of it. I had my doubts that it would fill in and really not sure how the body does it, but it sure did. This is what the "donor site" looked like after they took the veins and muscles from it. DO NOT click on the link if you have a week stomach! I myself didn't care to watch when the dressings had to be changed, arm on table and me sitting on the side of the chair looking in the other direction.
This was my trusty tube. This is the one that the doctor said, it's time for it to come out. And out it has come. We are going naked, LOL other than a cover. The appointment on the 9th is the one to say yes or no on the voice prosthesis. We shall see what is to come, change........Change is sometimes a good thing! I don't know about you, but I am so sick and tired of paying good money for pots and pans and having to replace them all of the time. I have went back to my cast iron and plan on never retiring them again. They are a little heavy sometimes for me to move when hot, but that's what I have an awesome husband for. I don't ever plan on buying another pan again.
Yesterday I taught myself how to make egg foo yung! I was so excited to learn how to make it and it was really good! The Chinese refer to it as an omelet, which makes sense. And I learned that you can put anything in it that you want, there is no wrong. The sauce is super simple too, beef or chicken broth, soy sauce and corn starch to thicken. Very quick and easy!

I'm so glad to see that your hair is growing in again. Looks like you have a beautiful head of hair. We've beautiful weather here as well. Wish I didn't have to work. It's times like this I miss our old building. At least there I had an office with a windown.
