Finished A Couple Of Little Things

Today is Monday, February 8, 2010. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shinning and blue skies. It was still cool outside, you needed a jacket but nothing like it has been. At least it wasn't as windy and it was dry.

I didn't get to much done today just a couple of little things finished that I had started. The grandson spent the night last night and helped me lots today. He worked with clay and did lots of stamping. He is funny though, he will not stamp all over a page, it has to be rows and rows of only one kind. We don't mix them up, I was told this. He wanted to hold the pedal down while I sewed. Oh not today little man, my fingers are to close to that needle for you to be in control.

His mom came and picked him up, he wasn't ready to go. His mom thought differently. So after they had left we went and got groceries. Young son has taken to going with me on this chore. I am not sure why, because most of the time he tells me this place is crazy. Yes, I know, but we need to eat.

For those of you that have cell phones and are billed for incoming calls, just a heads up. Sometime this month your cell numbers will be available to the telemarketers. To prevent this or at least curb it you can put your cell number on the Do Not Call List, the number is 888-382-1222. It is an automated call and it has to be done from the cell phone that you are adding to the list. It only takes a minute to do.

George called early tonight, said it is wet and cold there. He said that his truck is hating him. This morning again there was ice on his baby. LOL He has been in some kind of class all day. I worry when he is in class, he has a tendency to fall asleep when he is bored. He said all was good and he stayed awake.

So tomorrow I get to start some new projects. I get so excited starting new ones. Truly getting better about finishing up before starting new ones. Got some really cool stuff from Cindy of The Shabby Hag that I am so excited about using!

Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow, but live today. ~Brightest Blessings~

  3. Oh, I do love your work lady! We do not really have a problem over here as much with telesales but when I was in the US a few years back, it was unbelievable! The phone was ringing non stop! My aunt would pick it up, swear down the phone and hang up! I was so alarmed at her behaviour at the time but as time grew, it grew clear this was a nightmare. That is a good heads up for anyone that needs it! By the way, I have left a wee something for you on my blog! ((Hugs))

  4. I love your creations as always, Dede! You are a very talented person!! As for starting a new project, could one of them be a new keyboard? lol If anyone could do it, my money would be on you! Yes, surprise George with all new keyboards when he comes home next time. Heeheehee

I'm so happy that he was able to get home for your son's birthday, and that you all were able to celebrate together.

And thanks for the heads up about the telemarketers. Even though we have been on the no-call list for our land line ever since it was available, we still get lots of calls from non-profits, and places that we have done business with, maybe once, but that gives them the "right" to bug you enough to not ever want to buy anything from them again!

Oooooh, and by the way. .it is a good thing that I adore you, because when you are describing your warm weather to someone who is now in the middle of yet another blizzard, it would be tempting to think very bad thoughts about you. But I treasure our friendship. . so I won't! lol

    Hugs!!!
